Fountain Hill Elementary School Reviews

My son use to go to freemansburg elementary and hated school now he is in fountain hill and enjoys every day there. Love this school!

Pros: Teachers who care and commit to students and MANY programs offered after school Cons: My gut tells me MUCH more time in the classroom is spent on discipline rather than education. What a

I am a paraprofessional at Fountain Hill Elementary and I believe that it is the best school in the district. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else. The students are a joy to work with. It is exciting to see them enter kindergarten at Fountain Hill then work hard through all the grade levels and then have to say 'goodbye' at their 'graduation ceremony in the fifth grade. We do all become a family. There are transient students but they are in the minority. Fountain Hill is a great school, where all staff members care about our students.

The school has a lot of activities for children to participate in after school. The teachers and staff and nice and helpful.

A very transient school populatation; students are coming and going quite frequently. The school itself is old and not in top shape, but I believe the faculty and staff are trying to make the best with what limited resources they have. Parents are not very involved in the school, but are welcome to be involved in many ways. A very diverse population, composed of mostly minority students. The school takes on many student teachers each year. A full day Kindergarten program has been implemented, although the quality of it is questionable. This is not a bad school, but it is not top notch either; probably a 5 out of 10 max.

Fountain Hill is a great place for a child to learn. I myself went to the school when I was that age. I feel like my children are as safe at school as they are at home with me. It's like an extended family.
